I have 11 chickens, my white rock has decided that she wants to sit and lay on the poop board, when I catch her sitting on the poop board I put her into one of the nesting boxes but she usually jumps right back out and goes back up on the board. She is about 6 months old, none of the others do...
I have never heard any of my hens give the traditionally thought of "cock-a-doodle-do" crow but have heard them give an almost parrot type "brock", if that makes any sense.

Is the white rock a pullet and is it just a white rhode island red or is that the breed??

Also, I was under the impression that the one you called a crele was a wyandotte.
Thank you all for your quick replies, she was the first of two that my wife bought and has since become my 9 year old daughters chicken. Thanks again.

I am unsure of the breed and gender of these two. I think the dark one is a Plymouth Rock pullet and the white one I have no idea on the breed but think it is a pullet as well. Also, do ALL males have the "flowing" tail feathers??
The chicken is predominately orangish with grey tail feathers and has a black "beard". Also I'm pretty sure that this is a female, any thoughts??
Thanks in advance,
Mike
