Thanks! I'll offer it to them tomorrow and see what they think. I'm noticing that treats they turn their nose up at in the yard usually get devored by the next day in I put it in their coop.
Can chickens have okra? It's not on the good chart or the bad chart. I'm frying up a bunch and I'm wondering if they can have the tops and ends. Thanks.
I don't trust any canola. It is the food with the highest percentage of GMO plants vs organic. Cross contamination is common with canola so even organic canola is questionable, in my opinion.
Penelope at 12 1/2 weeks. She's such a funny little hen. Can't wait to see her eggs, sadly I still have quite a wait. She doesn't like the auto focus noise my phone makes so it's hard to get pics of her.
Uncle Virginia is 11 weeks and he's getting much better at crowing, but he's still not very loud. Yesterday a neighborhood cat was howling near my fence and he brought all his ladies to the coop. What a good little roo.
From a nice lady with beautiful chickens that all live together. She's pretty sure she came from a green egg. She and some people who were there when I picked her up seemed to think she's part Americauna because she has puffy cheeks and she does have some in her flock.
Thanks. sproutpeople.com has some bird feed for sprouting and I wanted to try it but there are so many beans in the mixes I was concerned. I do have 2 pounds of dried field peas that I might sprout for them.
On a slightly related note. I got some non-GMO, non-soy H&H feed from a local feed...
