CHICK STARTER: I have a mama hen and her single 6 week old chick confined together, in an area large enough to free range on, and have been feeding both of them chick starter. ( laying mash is out for the hen, and baby can't get to it, but the hen is eating the chicken starter. Is it OK for the her to continue to eat chick starter? and for how long?
