I have an 8 week old mix, I thought it was a pullet for the past couple of weeks due to its small pale comb, but it seems to be getting reddish patches on the shoulders and emerging saddles. It looks like it might be an Easter egger so I’m a bit confused. Any insight is appreciated...
I noticed this big bare patch on her butt this evening when closing the coop. She was normal yesterday and laid a huge egg today. She’s about 30 weeks old. I did just introduce three new 14 week olds after 4 weeks of see-but-no-touch integration.
I have the two Swedish flower hens, just over 7 weeks. The dark one has thicker legs and is overall larger so I’m concerned about the sex if anyone can shed some insight! Both are very friendly and easily handled
Thanks everyone, that’s a relief. The super early comb and wattles are really concerning, as the other Sussex I had really didn’t have either at the same age. But as this one grew I didn’t see any of the rooster feathering coming in.

The Sussex is now 20 weeks old, and doesn’t really look like a rooster yet… is he just slower to mature? Hasn’t crowed yet so if I need to make arrangements I’d like to before any starts.

I have three Dominique’s, I noticed one looks pretty different from the others. It has more white on its wing feathers. It’s also feathering out slower. I’ve attached pictures one of the chick in question and then an example of what the other two look like.
