My chicken won't walk or stand I think he may have hurt one of his legs!

My chicken does the same thing. I've treated her for worms and have been force feeding her. She won't stand and hasn't stood up in almost 7 days. She just scoots along in the crate I have her in to get away from her poop! Is it possible for them to ever stand up again if it's been this long?

Hen is lethargic with eyes closed

Got a question for you. When you used the safe guard wormer, how many times did you give it to your chicken? I just purchased some and wasn't sure if I give it once or over several days. Thanks

All of my chickens are around 17 months old. Was your hen so thin that her breast bone was very noticeable? I hope you are right :)

Sick chicken- reading a lot about crop problems. Advice appreciated!

I just have a bad feeling that I won't be as lucky. Have a feeling she might be too far gone. She's comfortable but still just sleeps the day away. Hopefully she will snap out of it or nature will take it's course. My kids would be devastated and mad at me if I culled her. Hoping for the best...

Sick chicken- reading a lot about crop problems. Advice appreciated!

Checked her crop this morning and it was small and empty. I gave her some yogurt with live cultures and some warm water. Then felt her crop and it was slightly bigger which means it's going in I guess. She was choking with straight yogurt. I gave her about 3 table spoons full (surrenge) and she...

Thanks for the info! Tried the videos and they didn't work. I have watched some. I'll check my hen in the morning and hopefully the crop went down. She really needs to eat.

My chicken is showing the same signs as yours did. Her crop is swollen like a balloon. I tried to empty it by massaging it while she hung upside down and nothing came out. I have her a surrenge full of baking soda and warm water and she kinda coughed a little but nothing. All she does is sleep...

    GREEN DROPPINGS, LETHARGIC, ADVICE PLEASE??

My chicken has the same symptoms and has lost weight. Her crop feels kinda mushy and her breath is some kind of awful! I have her a little olive oil this morning to try and loosen up whatever could be stuck in her crop. My next step will be a flush. Wonder if I can do that myself. Don't know...

    Sick bird

After doing some reading I have come to he conclusion she may have sour crop. Her crop is pretty empty and her mouth stinks! Like others have stated with this her poop is green liquid. Which would explain not eating. Gave her a little olive oil and yogurt. Then noticed her crop puffing up...

    Sick bird

I don't guess she could be egg bound could she?? She hasn't laid an egg in almost a month. I couldn't feel anything around her backside. She is bone thin. Can feel just about every bone in her body. I have Corid at home should I start treatment? Hate to bring her to a vet and have them run up...

    Sick bird

Hello all! I am lost trying to figure out what is wrong with my poor chicken. I have 4 chickens total and the other 3 are healthy as can be. This 1 chicken had been acting funny for a few weeks now. She used to be my most active and fast bird. Now she just stands around and kind of keeps to...

    Hello from SE Louisiana

Just wanted to introduce myself. Started out with 4 chicks in Feb. and they are doing great. They lay just about everyday and have had plenty double yokers so far. We may expand the flock to 6 here shortly. My daughters love our chickens!!! Wish I would have gotten chickens a long time...
