Does CCL x BCM make 100% OE?

I'm sure this has been asked or answered on here before but I'm curious if a CCL rooster over a BCM hen make 100% OE offspring. I've hatched OE with my BCM rooster over Easter Egger hens and picked out the pea comb ones since it is said that the pea comb is believed to be closely related to the...

    The Olive-Egger thread!

My other OE laid her first egg today! Both are laying now. It is speckled. Wonder if it will stay that way? The pics never turn out like real life. They look more green in person.

I bought them at the farmers co-op and they had been sexed as day old chicks. They are Easter Egger chickens and a Buff Orpington. I hope to find eggs every afternoon when I get home but still none. I wonder if they wont lay till spring since the days are getting shorter, however I do have a...

Hello all! Just wanted to share some photos. I ordered a dozen Welsummer eggs on ebay. I received 14 eggs all intact. Hatch day was Friday and kinda ran into Saturday. I ended up with 8 that hatched but there are 2 I'm watching closely as I'm not sure they will make it. If what I've read about...

    The Olive-Egger thread!

I have a few olive egger hens that are BCM rooster over an EE. I have a couple (blue) grey roos. Is there any benefit to keeping one of the roos? Kinda new at the OE's, do the OE roos have a olive egg color gene, or would it be either dark brown gene, or blue gene? Does that make sense lol? Just...
