    Being a first timer...the issue I am having determining my chickens gender is that they are all different mixed up breeds...the eggs came from someone with 80 different mixed breeds selling eggs for consumption... They are now seven weeks old and I think it is becoming obvious that I have three...

    I was wondering if instead of resting the incubated eggs on the wire mesh would it be ok to rest them on a cloth during the incubation...I noticed some people will put them on cloth only during the last few days to facilitate cleaning. Any reason why I could not throughout the incubation?
