Over a month of watery poop, flock getting thinner, now not eating…

Hey @Eggcessive ! Thanks so much for the suggestions! We've had fecal tests in the past for these symptoms and have shown not worms or other issues. This time we haven't done it because it's the same symptoms as last time. =( As for the food, we've had them on this food for over a year. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Over a month of watery poop, flock getting thinner, now not eating…

For over a month our flock has been getting thinner, weight-wise. (7 chickens and 1 rooster) They have had diarrhea/ watery poop (very few solids). Most of them were molting before this, but nothing has really changed. Things we’ve checked for and done already: all have been eating, except one...

Doughy Crop – with hard stuff in it!

Coach723!!! This is very helpful! Thank you so much. Last night after I posted this, we got a tightly wadded fine grass poo out of her, but this morning her crop was still full. If nothing gets better soon, we'll definitely be doing a necropsy. Thanks for the links and the time. I'll keep you...

Doughy Crop – with hard stuff in it!

Okay all! So several days after we lost Ethel - we found that the same thing had happened to an American that we have named "Gidget". We took her to the vet to learn more. Now we are on a mineral oil and vitamin water fill up in the morning and at night. My question is, how long can it take...

We decided that we weren't going to let her suffer through starvation any longer. My wife and I made...

Doughy Crop – with hard stuff in it!

Thanks Lutherpug. Sorry to hear that you're having to go the surgical route. I hope your girl recovers quickly. :) To answer your question, no we do not use sand, but we do have dirt and rocks around as their flooring in their run. Side note: she was not looking great tonight. Not a lot of...

Doughy Crop – with hard stuff in it!

Coach - thank you for all of your help! I had started to think about possible food allergies that could be the culprit... we had baby chicks and had to work hard to try and keep the big girls from eating the little girls food, but I'm sure they got some. We also recently changed to a different...

Doughy Crop – with hard stuff in it!

Coach 723 – thank you so much for your response! :-) I apologies for the typos. LOL! I was literally falling asleep last night as I was typing this up. Had a couple long days. I clarified my post and edit it at four for the readers. :-) She has an "doughy" crop. By morning the doughy crop is...
