Blue Andalusian cockerel or hen?
I have to blue andalusians, both hens and just started laying about a week ago. One matured very fast and had a HUGE pink comb early on. Her sister was slower. I think their combs are both STILL growing, they are just massive sized for the size of bird they are. Plus I believe rooster...- mimsy

This chick just showed up in our yard

One more that showed up in our yard. This one has been running around the neighborhood for a few years. We finally caught her, she has leg mites which we've been treating. This little guy was running around our back yard this morning. We let our chickens out and he was peeping and running from them. Haven't found the neighbor it may of came from yet. He's got a wound on his chest which we cleaned and put poultry vetericyn on. He's also got sticky stuff on...- mimsy

do you have any poultry drench? I'd give them a little. Have you tried putting marbles in their water? they are usually attracted to shiney things. Good luck. -

Chicken Swallowed My Earring???
They do love shiney things. They are also surprisingly strong. My daughter lost her diamond stud that way. The chicken was fine, but we never did see the earring again. Though my dog likes to eat their poo...and the birds eat his...ahh the cycle of poo. I would think the biggest danger...- mimsy

I thought it was just me that noticed a huge increase in snakes. It's just gopher snakes I'm seeing, so nothing to worry about. I actually like them, good rodent control and I like to catch them. They get all upset and pretend to be a rattler. -

How old is the turkey? I only have Knothead and he's young. So far he loves the chickens, I think he believes he's one. He is terrified of our head hen though, she's a small polish. The rest he's tight with. We are in the process of building a run for him though just in case there is any...
