HOA compliance for chickens in Highlands Ranch, CO

I know late - Chickens are allowed, and I miss HR every day. They are not allowed in Parker, one of the few places that has the room for them... The coop will need to be approved and painted to match your home. That was the biggest restricting I dealt with there. (I think I just wanted to vent...

So it has been a while since I have been on the site, sadly the reason for this post is one that the chicken smugglers dread... My HOA has given me a they go or we fine you in to bankruptcy letter. I am going to fight as best as I can but I also need to see if I can find a home for them if I...

So it has been a while since I have had any time to visit, sadly this is not a social call. :( My Production Red had a dirty vent Sunday, I gave her a bath and while I was drying her off I noticed that he abdomen was swollen and red. She has laid every day for a few months now so I know she...

I would think Cayenne would not work since they can not taste spice, I know she will not go in to her temp. coop if there is mustard in it but still eats the mustard eggs. I am giving my girls cat food in order to up protein right now. Maybe it is an issue?

No problem, it makes a nice treat for the girls and it good for them. At least it is something you can get easily this time of year and cheep. I wonder if they would be fine with the seeds as is, since they eat them raw okay? Thanks for the back up, good to have feedback from more then...

I would give them a nice big pumpkin for breakfast as well. I have heard many times it is a natural dewormer, I think it is the seeds. Maybe someone here has use this and can offer a more solid opinion though. note: I saw some articles on it being used for tape worms in dogs...

I see what you are saying but I don't think I can kill her... I will try a few other options but I may have to re-home her. :(

The other two were stressed the first few days but then they just accepted them, this one I don't know but that much stress has to be hurting her. This is the first time I have added chicks. I just worry after two months of no eggs.

I know I keep asking but it has been two month since my SLW has laid an egg, since the day the new girls arrived. I am sure there are plenty of you out there who would cull your girls if they went this long with out an egg. She still attacks the little ones and gets really stressed when they...
