Yes I have a coop that has a pair of bantams and four doves - I think she could be happy and not harassed- plus it is next to the other coop- so will share a fence line.

No, trimming does not bother her - she's pecking at it in pieces too to try to get it out/off...

It is firm and looks like egg or even looks like cooked chicken meat and trims easily enough. I'll keep on her tonight....Thank you so much for the advice....If anyone else knows what this is or has seen it before please reply...

Still the same - we've trimmed (although not much) and we've bathed with AvoDerm Oatmeal Shampoo and then we re-oiled the area. She's trying to get out of the tub so her energy level seems good...

Well I oiled all around her vent - I pulled slightly on it until I felt resistance, it did not come free...

Ok I will try the oil treatment now...and yes, she moves the mass up and down slightly..

It looks like this hard mass is attached inside the vent and hanging out - but I have seen her poop around it and just now, to answer your question, went back there and saw large poop on her towel...so she is able to poop with this thing attached up inside her vent.

Help! What is this stuck to Pancho's bottom?? We just saw this today while putting her back in her coop for the evening. We brought her inside and soaked her for 11 minutes in warm water and she is now in the spare bathroom tub resting/pecking at it. She has available to her electrolyte...
