Yes I have a coop that has a pair of bantams and four doves - I think she could be happy and not harassed- plus it is next to the other coop- so will share a fence line.
We have a chicken that was attacked and lost her leg. We have her in the bathtub and are hand feeding her food and giving her water. I have been cooking her eggs she seems to prefer them and loves applesauce. It happened a couple weeks ago and she is doing better - she is eating and drinking...
I can not find anything online that fits the description of Pancho's problem :/ It appears as though it is/was an egg that passed through and to her vent then became stuck. She has a yellow mass (looks like hard boiled egg yolk, yellow only) stuck from inside her vent and hanging on the...
Pancho's condition is still the same as of this morning...She has managed to peck the mass down in size. I gave her some laying pellets this morning in addition to the chick starter she had access to during the night. She ate a good breakfast and there was good poop on her towel. I tried...
It is firm and looks like egg or even looks like cooked chicken meat and trims easily enough. I'll keep on her tonight....Thank you so much for the advice....If anyone else knows what this is or has seen it before please reply...

It looks like this hard mass is attached inside the vent and hanging out - but I have seen her poop around it and just now, to answer your question, went back there and saw large poop on her towel...so she is able to poop with this thing attached up inside her vent.
Help! What is this stuck to Pancho's bottom?? We just saw this today while putting her back in her coop for the evening. We brought her inside and soaked her for 11 minutes in warm water and she is now in the spare bathroom tub resting/pecking at it. She has available to her electrolyte...
