    Thank you for accepting my request to join this group. I am a 70 year old chicken loving woman. I have been without chickens for some years now, but am thinking about getting about 5 egg laying pets. It will be interesting to me to see what you folks are talking about.

    I have been giving them electrolyes in their water. Their food and water intake is normal and their droppings are normal. I am going to research Mareks disease. I called my vet today and she told me she would research the situation as well.

    I have 24 chickens. 2 White Leghorn roosters. 1 White Leghorn hen, 2 Black Aussie hens, 1 mixed breed rooster and 19 Production Reds. The chickens have been outstanding all winter here in eastern Oklahoma. I have been getting 15 to 21 eggs every day since late summer. My concern is on 1-28-2014...
