Should I help my chick hatch?

I had another egg pip probably 72 hours ago it made one hole and it hasn’t done anything since. Is it most likely dead?

Should I help my chick hatch?

I have it at 75-79 but it is a possibility that the gauge is wrong. But like I said the one next to it hatched within minutes (that could mean nothing though). I am very new to this.

Should I help my chick hatch?

Well my husband won this time. I was not going to help. He was the one pressuring me to help. However, it made it through the night. This egg was the smallest one in the incubator and my hen that died last week is her mom so I did feel more of a need to help so I can have a memory of my special...

Should I help my chick hatch?

I did! I started chipping away at its shell and let it sit in the incubator, it came out within 5 minutes and it seems healthy.

    Boy or girl silkie

Oh no! Yes I’m in love and yes it’s name is chick pea. So far all of mine act like boys except for chick pea. But all my chickens have names and o love all of them.

    Boy or girl silkie

I had one rooster silkie years ago and I thought it was a girl for at least 9 months until I seen it crow. I also thought my hen was the rooster crowing so I’m terrible at being able to tell.

    Boy or girl silkie

I was wondering if anyone can tell if my silkie is a boy or girl. My husband is convinced it’s a boy because of its head feathers. I’m new to chickens and have a couple silkies. They are all much bigger than this little guy. It’s also very calm.
