    Feather loss around neck

    OInce again- sooo glad this site is here! I have a barred rock who is 9 months old and looks the same as you desrcibed. And pin feathers are a good description of what I am seeing on her pitiful looking neck. She is my only barred rock. Glad it's only molting. Thanks!

    Medicated food AND Sav-A-Chick - bad idea?

    Thanks for the thread. I was going to ask the same thing since I noticed the chick starter I got is medicated, even though thats not what I asked for- oops. And I've been using Sav a Chick as well. I'm happy to know that the combination isn't too much for them. BTW- It says on the Sav a Chick...

    We are enjoying our 8 new chicks! The Welsummer was older than the rest when we got them. Not sure how old but she is definitely not camera shy! She's very sweet to the smaller chicks.
