    When does a rooster become sexually mature?

    I have a barred rock rooster that is a little over 2 months. I want to hatch some eggs with him, and he is very sweet. He has not started crowing or mounting. I was wondering when I could expect to see some fertile eggs !! Thanks :)!!!

    Hi all, I am looking for docile pullets to be with my buff Orpington who is being bullied quite a bit. The breeds I want are Easter eggers or silkies, but if you have a sweet and docile pullet that would also work! Thanks :) I am in the SLC area.

    Thanks for the help all of you! I'll wait it out a while longer and tell you if he starts crowing. What about the Buff Rock? That's the one I'm very confused on. S/He doesn't have a big comb and the tail is short and not long and narrow like Sherlock's. But there's more red in the waddle area...

    Forgot to add: I'm not sure on who's a rooster or not. I've sexed incorrectly before.. Sherlock has a big crown and the tail is narrow. but Watson has more red, just not a big crown. So again I'm not sure.
