    Illness?

Hello friends! We have a Golden Sex Link that started laying very LARGE duck eggs a few months ago. Didn't think much of it, just thought that was her new thing. Then we noticed that she would only give us this large beast 2 times a week. The other times they would be messy soft shelled eggs in...

    Breed?

Yea, i've heard that from friends as well. We have a total of 4 hens and I really don't want to see them loose all of their head feathers and get beat up, feels kind cruel to me. I'm told my local feed store will sometimes take them and re-home them. I'll ask for their opinion on it as well.

    Breed?

Thank you all, you are the pro's and that's why sites like this exist. Guess what happened yesterday (7-26-16) morning at 7:30....Cock-a-Doodle Doo!!! He's not so loud (yet) but he is proud. Breed?

Pink comb, yellow feet, small tail feathers, not laying

Great info! Thank you for that. I believe she is molting, also on that subject how long does it normally go on for? I think she started late November. That's what I thought the lack of eggs was initially from.

Pink comb, yellow feet, small tail feathers, not laying

Hello, Long time reader, first time poster. Just have a kinda puzzling problem (not even sure it is a problem but that's why I'm here, to ask the pros). We got these 2 buffs last March and they are the same age. They were chicks when we brought them home. They both started laying in September...
