i have 3 young hens that are hatching. but i want to move them out of the laying area and in to my hatching pens. i normaly just move them in to a box in the pen lock them in to it over night and in the morning that stay ther. bt with theys hens i can move them put them in the box...
i was thinking about doing that before
i was going to use a single sod plow( that where used behind horses) and welding on arms to it and making arms on the quad. i cant see why it woulded work as long as the welds wher strong enove
also drill a hole ot the front of the plow and in the back of...

i think that mught be my problem as a few weeks ago my sisters dog killed 10 of my hens just out side of the pen and some in side of the pen. every day i go out i notice that there are always eggs broke or pecked at.
so i will try to feed them bread ever day when i go out to get...

hello lads new hear so sorry if this is in the wrong place
but i have around 25 hens. and i am only getting 13eggs a day. all the hens are the same age all the same bread(there road islands reds) that are not laying ther around 13months old.
they are all in the same pen and are being fed layers...
