Is this a sex-link chick? I got a fertilized egg from someone who said it’s from a Rhode Island Red rooster and leghorn hen. Is it possible to tell gender based on its feather color or pattern?
I would usually wait until then but I know some hybrids are sex-link and depending on breeds you can sex from the feather color or pattern. I was wondering if anyone knows if the breeds I mentioned in post are able to do so.
I need help gendering this newly hatched chick. I bought a fertilized egg and had my broody hen hatch it. She was successful but I’m thinking I got a roo on my hands. It’s suppose to be a Rhode Island Red x leghorn mix. They said the rooster was the Rhode Island Red. Any help is appreciated.
