    Hi, sorry for my absence. I have been doing double shifts all week. Mrs Chicken is eating and looking well. She is losing feathers all over her body though now seems heathly enough. I think I may have panicked! Cheers

    Ok, Mrs Chicken seems weak this morning, walking as if she has been hitting the bottle! Have fed her boiled egg and cheese. Will go to vet, worm her and get layer pellets. Wish her luck!!!

    I don't think its molt as she molted 4-5 months ago. She has lost nearly all feathers. Over the last few hours everything I have read points to De-pluming mites.     I am digging through the kitchen to make the mix up. Tomorrow I can get to the local Vet. I only feed them grain as they lay nearly one egg each per day year round. Thanks again. Back to the kitchen.

    I read somewhere today that others have used the powder to good effect. It was recommended by a vet so hopefully it wont hurt her. They all get regular grain mix. Yes she is free range. She is living with five other astralorps of various ages all birds bought from they same shop over two years...
