Need to find new homes for these two guys, take one or both, not sure on the breeding but they are colorful and sweet birds. I wish I could keep them but can't around 6 months old. Located in NW Missouri. Can ship if you pay for shipping.
Thanks everyone for the kind words and advise. So far Roo Roo is doing fine-- doesn't seem to have any problems eating, breathing, etc.--- just acts like a normal chicken! The tumor doesn't appear to be growing much which is good. Hopefully he will still get to live a long life. I will certainly...
update-- I took Roo Roo to the vet today-- he has a tumor. The vet recommended not trying to remove based on its large size and the location of it. He said the rooster probably wouldn't survive the surgery. :( He still seems happy so I'm just going to let him live out the rest of life and see...
My roo has a large hard limp on the side of his neck-- it doesn't seem to be bothering him but its concerning-- he has had it for a few months. He is 9 months old-- I didn't think much of it until I saw another rooster and he didn't have it. Yes- im new to chickens.
I'm sorry! I lost my first chicken today too--- darn me for getting so attached to my critters :( Mine just vanished--- looked everywhere, no sign of feathers, blood....nothing. I'm not sure I want to know. Anyway, sorry for your lost. I understand how you feel.
