Eggcessive: thank you for this!
do you have a certain dose that you use, or just a little of this and a little of that?
Do you use more of one than the other?
we have 30 some chickens.
no not the cats, since we don't plan on either eating the cats or their products...
I should have made myself more clear, sorry. We don't want to use chemicals on the Chickens because we eat their eggs and we are planning on eating some of the chickens too.
and Kathy: well, i don't...
Hello Ya'll
our Barncats have Tapeworms! UGH!!
Since my better half really does not want to use any kind of chemicals, what could I use to deworm the chickens?
I assume that the chickens will get the worms too?
Does anybody have a natural remedy??
thank you
nope, she broke 4 out of 5 in the nest and the last one we took out on day 32, it was rotten. Not sure if they were not fertilized from the get go. or what... maybe we have better luck next year
I'm sure it would have been, I cannot get the smell out of my nose for the life of me.... I volunteered to go snuggle with the goats just so I'd smell something else :)
okay, so today one more egg was broken and she did leave the nest again, so we took the last egg out and cleaned everything out really good.
We did not hear any noise coming from the egg, so we took it away. We did crack it open just to be on the safe side and we should not have.... gross! the...
oh, she did not leave it for good... I may have phrased that wrong.
My better half told me that she went off the nest for a short period of time, but he did not check on the eggs when she did.
she did leave the nest today but i was not home ... I will check on her tomorrow.
Now IF the eggs won't hatch, will she just leave the nest, or will I have to take the eggs away?
oh wow, I bet that's awesome. I hope I'll get a chance to see that.
We bought them when they were already full grown, the seller said they are 2-3 years old.
she did come off the nest today, but she seemed in a hurry,. we will keep checking.
Next time she goes off I'll put my ear on the eggs... now this might sound ignorant but exactly do I look for in an external pip?
thank you!!
Hi,
we don't have a candler so we tried to use the flashlight and toilet paper roll trick, but she won't go off at night and since she only goes off for a very short time we don't want to carry the eggs too far (where it's dark) and when we tried to hold it in a dark corner in the barn we...
hello,
soooo, at this point she is still sitting but it seems she gets off the nest more often. Also there is only 2 eggs left.
Now my question, if those eggs are either not fertizilzed or got bad because they got yolk from the other broken egg all over them, will the Goose know this and...
Hello,
