Local Hatcheries/ Breeders? SE North Carolina Area

What kind of chickens are you looking for? I hatch out chicks year round. Our farm raises silkies, easter eggers, and New Hampshire’s at the moment. And I current have some chicks available. We are located an hour east of Charlotte. Where exactly are you located?

Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

I have this three and a half month old barred rock. At least I think that's what it is, it was my "rare" chick from the hatchery. Do I have a pullet or cockerel?

    What are we?

Yup, rooster. Do you have better pictures of this one? I get this picture tonight. Don't know if that helps anymore.

    What are we?

I got six babies from a kindergarten class that hatched out some eggs for a project. I hate it when they hatch out eggs and then don't know what they are going to do with the babies after. So, I felt bad and I took them. I have attached a picture of four of them. I know for sure the one in...

Thank you to everybody who commented. We have not lost any more chicks after using the Corid and changing out the bedding in the coop. Everybody is happy and healthy!

    We keep losing chicks

It's not actually pellets, it's grower crumble. I am used to feeding barley fodder, but I stopped feeding it when I suspected a mold problem may be causing my deaths. I didn't think about the bedding. I will switch that out as well. At this point I am willing to try anything to keep the...

    We keep losing chicks

We ordered 30 chicks from a hatchery in February. The majority of which were New Hampshire's. Recently we moved them out to a brand new coop near our house, and have mysteriously lost nine of these chicks since the move. We originally thought that we were having issues with our fodder system...

    What breed and gender please?

[/IMG] I got this batch of chicks without knowing what they are. I know I have one barred rock, but I don't know what these white ones are. I am positive one of them is a rooster, but I'm not sure about this one. It isn't nearly as red as the other. Hatched about eight weeks ago.
