Cochins seem to fare very well with the heat and rain here. It gets super hot and humid around this time of the year but I haven't lost a chook to sunstroke yet so I take it as a good sign 😁 if you could get yourself a Cochin, please do! They're super affectionate, some even follow you around...

Thanks! Im planning to try that out 😁 I have a question though. To get a proper breed, does that mean a Giant Cochin has to cross with these chicks as they mature? Or a Jungle Fowl? Male? Female? How does it work, does anyone know?

UPDATE Red Jungle Fowl x Giant Cochin Age : 21 days (hatched 5th February) Wing feathers are starting to fill in, these chicks run super fast! Not as docile as the Giant Cochins. Leg feathers are coming in too 😁 Looks like an onset of fowl pox, so started treatment for the chicks
