    Thank you all I’m pretty confident she is broody. I have been taking the eggs from her the other hens lay. None of our eggs are gonna be fertile lol. I have also had to take her out of the nest and set her outside so she will run around and free range with the others. But she sits for a while...

    She does do all of that! My issue is our chickens lay eggs all throughout the day 🙄🙄 i have some hatching eggs coming mid may that i was gonna incubate so i was thinking about just letting her hatch some but if she’s already doing this i don’t want her to be too unhealthy for sitting so long

    Hi! I think one of our hens is broody. How do i know? We have no roosters. 🤷🏼‍♀️ She makes weird noises and fluffs her feathers out.

    thank you so much for the info i had no idea bout the s or the 20 egg thing i have 5 other chickens all hatched the same time as her which Was last Feb so i was excited to finally get one! Haha. The others have been laying for months already.

    No, thank everyone for the great advice! Now just waiting on 2 of my hens to start laying. They are the same age as the others who have been laying for a few weeks hoping it happens soon!

    Update: i added a 5” tall board to the front of the boxes and it worked! She is now laying in the box and keeping the original bedding in. She was the first one to start laying and my lakenvelder is laying as well. So now just 3 more to start which are the same age as my lakenvelder. 2 lavender...
