    Thank you for your response. I was just surprised to see this. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing anything that could have caused this. They all seem to be very happy chickens and I thought healthy as well. Do I need to relally watch the rest of them after this?

    We were out of town and unable to get the eggs out of the nesting box until tonight. We left Friday morning and got 11 eggs Sunday evening. Are these eggs ok to keep? We live in central Wisconsin. Temps were around 55-60 during the day and down to 45-50 at night.

    Thank you for the tips and information. I found 1 egg yesterday in one of the nests that does not have a fake egg. Both eggs I found so far were small but normal shape. One of my chickens comb is very red and I am thinking that might be the one doing the laying so far.
