    Speckled Sussex sex

Hi, First time with speckled sussex and I have a dilemma - I can't tell if I have one cockerel and two pullets or two cockerels and one pullet. I definitely have 2 of one and 1 of the other. They are just shy of being 6 weeks old. Thank you in advance!

I can sex your pullets and cockerels!

Well... y'all were right. Emily is a boy. McMurray refunded my money for the chick and a partial refund on the shipping (he was one of two - the other one got coccidiosis and died in spite of "vaccine" and corid). I'm pretty disappointed. I can't have a rooster and I'm having a really hard...

Culling with baking soda and vinegar

You know, I agree with you in theory. Sometimes people don't understand when they are standing there looking at that puppy, kitten, duck, chick, etc., what exactly that means at the end of the animal's life. The reality of it. I've had cats all my life and I've had to have several of them put...

Culling with baking soda and vinegar

I had to put down a chick who was sick, getting sicker and not eating or drinking no matter what I tried. I really had to work myself up to it. It was not "emotional issues" that delayed my action all day. It was two things really. One was that I had never killed an animal intentionally and...

Wow. That sort of gives me the creeps. Like Damion in a chicken body.
