We have an old corgi that ignores the chickens. not sure I would trust a young one. My daughter has 2 labs. One is an idiot that hasn't noticed the chickens yet. The other wanted to get the chickens but I have "trained " her to leave them alone.......so far.
Coyotes are hard to trap. Not sure about a live trap but I have leg hold trapped coyote before and they are very smart. You will get about everything else first (neighbors dogs).
My chickens trained my barn cats when the chicken were young. One or all would attack the cats as they came through. Live traps work good. When I have to trap skunks I end up trapping all of the neighbor cats first.
I have 11 chickens. 7 Buff Orpingtons and 4 Rhode Island Reds. They have been laying for about 3 months. I have 2 questions. 1 of the Rhode Island Red has never developed any tail feathers. She is also extremely wild. Is this a throw back to a wild chicken or a birth defect?
1 of the Reds layed...
