    Have just read my way through the 280+ pages and you lot have some great brids. Have kept some Marans since 2005 here in the UK, started with point of lay cuckoo marans, poor egg colour but from a well know breeder. Second batch copper black marans also point of lay, very poor egg colour again...

    Timeline of point of lay for your BC Marans

    My first post from here in the UK! my CB Marans hatched 9th April 2008, first egg 1st feb 2009 the rest came onto lay March 2009. We got a few good colour eggs, a lot of poor coloured ones but they have now settled down to lay a good colour egg of at least a 6 on the french maran scale.
