    Unfortunately I need to be central for my job. I have two dogs and they bark.... A large reason for the fence as seeing/hearing people sets off my older one who is really anxious. I bet they couldn't believe who moved in next door. But how could you not love these faces?

    Yea I approached them first becuase the guy who tipped me off got the neighbour wrong and thought it was the other side. I apologised and explained I didn't want to upset any one and if they had any problems just to come and speak to me. I do think I'm probably worrying about something thatight...

    Yes they have roosts, one of the dogs shiny red balls I hang treats and scatter veggies, seeds and corn for them. I hung cds up as I heard they liked shiny things and they have a pallet to hide behind they like that

    I think you're right. I clean the poo out of the shed (coop) every couple of days and I use aubiose in their run as it's on paving, so change that once a week. I was putting food out the night before which was keeping them quiet but I think that's a bad idea in case of rodents over night soa...

    Thank you, its easy to say don't worry but not so easy to do - I'm a worrier!! My dad has 12 chickens and my six make 3x the noise his do!

    I did speak to the nice neighbours and they loved the eggs. The complaining neighbour refused eggs so that's where they stand!

    Thank you. Yes I was very upset, it was a completely different neighbour who tipped me off and they've never complained directly to me. So I'm always afraid things are being said behind my back and I don't get to find out (or be able to do anything about) any complaints.

    Thank you for your reply To date I have spent £1500 on a new fence to which I have attached (on my side, by the coop) a living wall of herbs. The neighbour lives next door (at the side). Problem is I moved in in May, got the chickens in July and don't think I've made a great impression to be honest!

    Thanks, I've read all these and I don't think they apply. My confusion is that the other four are all laying as normal so I wondered why two might not.
