    Hello, my turkey seems to have fallen ill. I have done procedures of isolation from my flock. The turkey's symptoms are white puss at the eyes, discharge at nostrils, lethargic, and weak. If you have an idea what it could be, please tell me and give suggestions to help cure it.

    The Great Pyrenees is a great breed to use for protecting livestock. They will sleep, eat, drink, and live beside your animals. They will give their lives to protect their herd or flock of animals. I do recommend creating structures for them to hide around when they are outside.

    @centrarchid how is it part of my problem? Even though it is, you do not have to state the obvious. I am just looking for a solution even though I have many of these safeguards in place other than keeping them indoors all day and/or making a run for them( which I do not have the money or time to...

    @guineapeeps I do have a neighbor that lives close by the acre lot I have my animals on and they are city slickers so I am not sure about getting more of them without them complaining to the township I live in.

    Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

    @theuglychick get a trail camera and kinda stalk the chicken like a wild deer. Try to locate where she sleeps and grab her late at night.

    I have two roosters, several gooses, and yet the hawk tries and succeeds most of the time. I have a few places to have them hide but it is still frustrating. @ChattyChickens4Life

    Sounds like she could have something stuck in her throat. Try massaging the chickens throat to feel if there is anything in there. I have had this happen to me before and this was the problem for me.
