Chicken math means we came home fromTSC yesterday with two ducks! They were from a bin marked "assorted". Can anyone help us out? What beeed are these? Is here any way to know the sex before the feather out?
The chicks were too big for their dog pen brooder, so I adapted some cardboard boxes. We needed at least 10 square feet for our 10 chicks. Just had move in and so far things are going well!
Ugh, we have one like this too! She is fat and sassy and stays dirty in the rear. We frequently just trim with scissors. Once we have chased down her cute little waddle and caught her, it takes one to hold and one to trim!
What about quarantine? Now that we are through with the Tylan, how long do I continue to keep her segregated?
Thanks! Best and most clear advice I found on any of the threads!
I have been having the same problem and have decided to go ahead and use the Tylan on the infected and quarantined bird. I have a small flock of only four hens. Should I treat everyone? Also, the sick hen isn't laying yet but should be soon. How long should I not use the eggs?
How can I deworming my chickens if I can't catch and hold them to treat? Is there any other way than orally with a syringe? And do all chickens need deworming? Mine are 17 weeks old.
