    Crooked chicken feet

I will try to grab video. I have been thinking some type of deficiency is the culprit. My feed is a custom blend I have been using since I was in college in the 80s. I worked in the poultry science research lab at Kansas State University. Over the last year or so I have switched from traditional...

    Crooked chicken feet

That's not it. They are walking on the sides of their feet and will occasionally hold 1 foot up in a very tight clench. It is almost like they are having cramps or some type of spasm. It is not just when they are standing. They dont seen to be in any distress and this has been happening for...

    Crooked chicken feet

I've raised chicken for years. I have had chickens with deformed feet and deformities. I have a pen of girls that include 2 orpingtons, 2 Rhode Island reds, 2 barred rocks and 2 new Hampshires. I noticed an orp that had crooked toes one morning like the photo. The next day they were perfectly...

    Are all chicks vaccinated

Cackle only vaccinates if you ad it when you order your chick's. They also guarantee all their poultry to be pullout free. Also, unless another cackle hatchery has popped up, they are located in Lebanon, MO. Don't know of a Cackle in WI. Also, you will find no better hatchery than Cackle. I...

Will pullers start laying in winter.

Great to meet you and I loved hatching eggs. I try to have something in the incubators all the time. Quail. Ducks, Guineas, or any new challenge. Hatching eggs is addictive.

    Consolidated Kansas

I just started really looking at the site although I joined a couple months ago. I just today did my introduction and would like to link up with other close by poultry enthusiasts. I'm always looking for something new and unusual to hatch. I am from the rural Mclouth/Tonanoxie area.

Will pullers start laying in winter.

I have a 60, 10 week old pullets 20 each Plymouth barred rock, Rhode island red, and heavy sex links. I have never started chicks this late in the year. My adult flocks usually start laying 20 to 22 weeks of age when I start them in April. My question is will these girls start laying in cold...
