    Name ideas?

The white one I would name Blanch. The grey one could be stormy or Greyven like Raven but because of the color modify it.

Dern! Lost A Lakenvelder Hen Yesterday!

At least you were able to get something out of that tragedy. Last year our entire flock was taken a family of foxes, he was not at all afraid of humans because while we were on our property doing chores the fox came and took 3 birds right in front of us! I was defenseless. He then pranced off...

I have Welsummer hybrids... They are only 8wks now but in this pic they are closer to 5 or 6wks...... Some of them are the standard coloring but some are buff and white....I initially purchased these birds as meet birds but as a watch them grow and realize the eggs they produce I may only have 5...

Any guesses about Rosie? She a 13-week old EE

personally when I look at the chicken I believe it to be a rooster due to the prominent hackle feathering (feathers around the neck) and then when looking at Saddle feathers (ones right before the tail) they are extending out. I have a roster that is 13wks this Saturday and has not yet started...

What type of Wyandott is this?

It can be difficult to decide what breed of chicken you have, however I have found an amazing book (Storey's Illustrated guide to Poultry) that describes the markings `on chickens and the combs and how to decipher what is what for which breeds. So I have found some pics online to show the...

Anyone have a red coop with a trim color other than white?

My number one choice is forest green but if you are looking at other options I really like contrast and trim is a great place to make a bold statement....I love accent walls for interior decorating but for the outer trim it may be a small area but it covers the entire building so the second...
