    Her comb is very red, but wattles not prominent. I'll go get a picture in a bit. She was squatting on the ground with her wings out a bit, yes. Is that what it's supposed to look like? I think they think I'm the momma bird, so they aren't skiddish around me at all.

    Oh my goodness!!!! They can trick you on sex, can't they?? Lol. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, in the event I'm totally wrong and have no idea what I'm talking about (totally possible;). But, it'd be awesome if she was gearing up. She's always been my largest hen....

    I just went to put my girls back into the coop after a morning of free ranging, and one of my EE's was squatting on the ground. They are 13 weeks old. Isn't that a little early?

    RIR (supposedly) - pullet or roo?

    This is monster truck at 11 weeks. Any idea if she is a he? I was told at the feed store that this chicken was a RIR. as a baby, it looked like a chipmunk. So I'm not sure what breed it is really. :)

    Previously, I was just sure that Mrs. Higgins was a girl. But, lately, the bright red comb has me wondering. She is 6 weeks old.... What do you all think?

    Pullet or Roo?

    I posted last week with mixed reviews. So I thought I'd try again this week. :) I'm not sure of the breed, but the chick is 5 weeks old. Maybe a welsummer or brown leghorn? Or a mix of something. Either way he/she is getting the most beautiful auburn coloring..... What do you all think?

    Thank you, all! After looking at pictures, he/she definitely looks like either a Welsummer or Brown Leghorn. I guess time will tell. ;) I don't care if the baby is a pullet or roo, either one will have benefits for me. I'm just curious at this point.

    I'm curious to see if anyone knows the breed and gender of this sweet baby...They are 4.5 weeks old. I know the two darker ones are Easter Egger pullets. My question is about the reddish bird. I already see a comb...... Any guesses to the breed/gender?
