    Today is day 23..... Mine I think enjoy making me worry. I now have 3 chicks and two more have pipped. Crossed fingers... Better late than never.

    Day 22 no hatch apart from one??

    Hi I don't know the make, just a polystyrene box with a bulb and fan. A breather hole each end which I have been skirting warm water onto the sponge. 2 nd one trying to hatch, maybe a third just starting. Fingers crossed.

    Thanks for a glimpse of hope. Just it's day 22 :-S Temps seemed spot on continuously. Humidity been a problem. Instructions said to redsmp with warm water every 8 hrs if needed. Hope that hasn't dehydrated any as it drops quickly before building up again.

    I've got one wobbly Pekin chick. No sign of pips in the others and humidity down. Day 22 in 4 hours. Worried. What do I do? I should open it up but grrrr!

    Thanks.... I'm not going ahead with anything. Was pondering for next year. Which is why I want to pick brains now. If it's not do able then I won't. Don't want to risk either species being unhappy, as that defeats the whole point of doing it. Will make a bit of interesting research though.

    It's a lovely thing hatching them out in your hand, just watch for blood. My incubator not keeping the humidity, have to keep topping it up. All twelve were active, on day 19 now and getting paranoid. Want to see movement.
