    I found this on Google images. If this really is a black sex link, I think this is what I've got. Maybe her comb will change color as she gets older. Pretty hen. I've heard they're good layers. :)

    I think it's likely that she's a mongrel. But since my friend lives in a suburb, no one there breeds chickens. I'm betting this chick was ordered from a hatchery, but I don't know of any that sell crossbred chicks. Weird.

    She doesn't look like my Ameraucana hen, that is true. Maybe an Easter Egger? I've never had a black sex link, but I don't think their combs are black. It's certainly a fun mystery. I'm very curious to watch her grow up.
