Congratulations!
My first time hatching also and it's been so exciting! I've had to really contain that excitement and be patient! But it's been worth it!
I'm actually glad I put the eggs in the incubator. We have one more week to go and she decided to stop sitting. If she was going to keep sitting, I was going to try and sneak the chicks under her.
Hello everyone!
So! This is the first time I've ever incubated eggs and I'm super excited! But I am needing a little bit of advice.
I had a hen decide to go broody, which is why I picked up some eggs. I don't have a separate place for her to go broody, so after the first day of her sitting...
First, thank you for the inciteful discussion in regards to Silkies health and the thought process on the feed.
I just have to say wow. I never realized how much everyone can become so passionate about a topic, it's always appreciated and wonderful to see how much their flocks mean to them...

She's about 3 and a 1/2 to 4 months old. I picked up up in December. She's on uneducated chick feed. When she kept going south I started her on nutri drench and watching how much she eats, which isn't nearly as much as my other hurt chicken which will eat around 4 oz a day.
Thank you. It took me three hours to create a sling that she semi tolerates. It's been tough watching my showgirl go through this. She's such a soft sweet little girl.
Two weeks ago we had an attack on our coup. We lost a frizzle, I have one confined to a sling already, but I'm not sure if this one is related.
I have a showgirl that had started limping on her left about a week and a half a ago. Since she was still moving around and able to go up the ramp to...
