    White chicks

my white leghorns were similar to that when they were younger. once they started laying they turned more reddish color. my hens are also of slight build but man are they tough. scrap with the bigger birds when it's feeding time. lots of personality in that little body.

Chicken with swollen eyes and nasal discharge

i don't know if that would be a good idea. all my chickens are free range. they have been into everything. since the chicks haven't been exposed by outside living, i wondered if it would be safe to sell all of them. i just don't know and would rather not risk selling or giving away bad chicks...

9/11, 10 years later, what did you do?

I was finishing up my Advanced Training for the Army when 9/11 happened. On 9/11/2011, I was thinking about how being medically retired from the Army is and about all my friends that died while we were in Iraq. For me, every day is a day of remembrance. Enjoy your day.

Chicken with swollen eyes and nasal discharge

the smell is there. i thought the smell might be from having been wet, it had been drizzling for days. i have noticed many more are infected this morning. trying to figure out where it may have come from. all newbies had been quarantined for 30 days to see what they might have and treated...
