feed them the highest nutrition poultry feed mostly chicken starter is the most nutritious nad feed that for the rest of their life..maybe yes because of the season as days are shorter but give them some extra light and btw way i think some of your chicks are having ruffled feather
i think if they're used to they'll adapt themselves soon but if they are startled by your kids they will still lay but will not be happy! used solid floor and use some clean sand for the bedding and sift the sand with a sifter once a week or once in 2 weeks
i think you've got only one female the last picture both the 1st and 3rd pictures are male for me but the 2nd one i am not sure..and i think they are a bit early to sex wait 2 more weeks and then everything will be clear
even if they are laying one nasty hen just don't like the rooster at all...she's the one who started all this behaviour and till now i have to seperate her and it was today that i re introduce her again and it seems like nothing is likely to change...and when i keep her seperated she used to...
i want them as a pet ...no more ertile eggs for now as i have no more space for them and yes not just for eggs but i just love quails so much that all..thanks for sharing your opinion..i think i will have to sell him
they are birds and should be kept outdoors as it's not healthy at all for us..they are meant to be kept outdoors but make sure they have shelter good food and enough space👍🏻
i am housing 3 female and 1 rooster(all couturnix quail) in a 4feet square small aviary and all the hens run away from the rooster is kind to them only just showing he's the boss but when ever they meet the rooster every hens starts to run way from
him and were flying high up and then trying...
