    Our Cayuga has an injured foot. One of his toes is separated from the web. I put wonder dust on it to stop the bleeding and put him in a dog crate bedded with hay and food and water. Any suggestions appreciated.

    Good luck with that!! I tried and tried vent sexing day old muscovy ducklings with no luck. From what I have researched it should be done when they are a day or two old and you can damage them in the process.

    I made a short video of one egg that has movement inside. I believe that it is the little break moving as the little one breathes. Now what? Do I slip it under a momma that has just started sitting and keep checking if it has hatched or keep it under a heat lamp? There is definitely life inside...

    Yes veining in a couple of the eggs. At this point I just want to make sure that I don't have any that are ready to hatch. If they are just fertilized yet a ways from hatching I will just let them go since momma hen has moved on from the nest. Maybe next time she lays eggs it will be in a better...

    I have two hens on nests in the coop. One nested on the concrete floor, with deep bedding,. Her eggs keep moving out from under her. Bless her heart, she started in the corner but every day I have to reposition her and get the eggs under her. I really doubt that any of the eggs will still hatch...
