    My chicks will be here soon and I'm wanting to know if I need to put an electrolytes packet in their water the first day? If so, do they also need water without electrolytes? TIA!

    So you just used the medicated feed? What if you are trying to be as natural as possible? I still want healthy chickens but I'm trying to avoid as much unnatural stuff that I can.

    I just ordered 15 chicks from purely poultry and they should be here in the next couple of days. I spoke to a girl on the phone about getting the Mareks vaccine for them and she said since there have never been chickens on my property I don't need to get it. Well, I didn't think about it then...
