Our 5 month old brown sex links just started laying 2 weeks ago. We have three of them (and one Sultan hen). We have found 4-5 eggs so far--thinking they were probably going to lay more, but were just getting started. My daughters just ran into the house shouting "We found a LOT of eggs, we...

Thanks! Hey guys, any guesses on breed? He has gray/blue legs. Unfortunately we live in a highly urban area and have to give him up. He is such a sweety though. He and my Sultan Hen are my favorites out of the 6 we got. It would be nice to know what kind of breed to advertise him as...

Our 9 week old rooster *tried* to crow about 2 weeks ago, but hasn't uttered a peep since. Last night we were watching youtube clips about feather clipping and I was holding him in my lap, looking at his feathers when I saw clips titled "rooster crowing" etc., and wondered what the lil guy...

    Another Head Twitch Question-**Updated

I have scoured the boards for responses to head twitches, but haven't found any situation exactly like ours? We have 6 chicks that are about 5-6 weeks old. They ALL shake their heads. Like SUPER fast twitches or ticks. They occasionally sneeze, but definitely not constantly or anything, and...

Not sure how old? Maybe 4 weeks? Hoping the Sultan is a hen!!!

I got these 6 littles about 3 weeks ago from our local Tractor Supply Store. Not sure how old they were when I got them..they were super cute and fuzzy:) I know we have 3 reds of some sort that were advertised as pullets, a Sultan that I thought was a red when I picked it out (didn't even...

    Hi from Nashvegas

Hey folks. New here...brought home a few baby chicks last week. My children named one "Cup" and one "Popcorn" Popcorn made me laugh, especially since my 5 year old obviously didn't get the pun.

Whoops. Meant no chickens on property of less than 5 acres. I'm so bummed. I hope I don't get super attached to these things only to have them taken away.
