Would love a couple Millie Fluer . Are there any breeders in massachusetts? I keep looking on line and have not been able to find a local breeder.

I had to confine my hens to the run this summer as they were getting into my neighbors gardens. My problem is that when it rains the run smells. What can i do to make the run less smelly. the run is 8x 28' and i have 23 pullets

I have 7 marans. 6 French Black Copper and 1 Cukoo Marans. One of my Marans started laying at 19 weeks 5 days. Last Sunday(almost 22 weeks) for the first time I got 7 chocolate eggs in one day!

Went out to the coop to collect the eggs. Like I do every day I checked the coop that had all my newer chicks and there in the nest was my first chocolat coloerd egg!!!!!!!!! One of my Marans has started to lay

I have 2 Golden Comets age 15 weeks, 8 easter eggers 14 weeks and 2 Buff Orpingtons that are 12 weeks. I am concerned one one of my orps is a rooster as it is larger that the other one. Should I know by now if I had a rooster? Wouldn't it already be crowing?

Wow, sounds like I have my work cut out for me. I like the idea of a refuge for the chciks to escape the bulllying. I will have to get to work on that. To avoid additional issues I will add more roosting space in the coop. Would you recommend sharing the run (with a refuge) for a few days...

You don't thnk they will hurt them when they wake up and find strangers in their coop?
