Can chicks get cocci in brand new coop and never been outside?

Thanks everyone. I treated them all with straight drops of Corrid to the beaks then in their water for 5 days. No one else has died so far. Now I know even chicks I hatch and those never being outside before can get coccidiosis too.

Can chicks get cocci in brand new coop and never been outside?

I have 2 thermometers, on the babies side it's 80 and the older chicks is 75. I'll start the Corid, no other water right?

Can chicks get cocci in brand new coop and never been outside?

Feeding Sprout chick starter from Fleet Farm, introduced chick grit to the older chicks but not the younger ones yet. Only snacks so far has been watermelon and meal worms crushed up. I'm at the bottom of a 50 lb bag but it doesn't smell any different from when it was first opened. I have 2 red...

Can chicks get cocci in brand new coop and never been outside?

My husband built our brooder from brand new wood. Currently have 3 sections with 4 week olds in one, 3 week olds in one and 2 week olds in the baby side. Five of the older 4-week olds are d'Uccle I got from MPC as day olds, the rest I've hatched from various different breeders on eBay and...

    Minnesota!

He's gorgeous, those greens and purple! I have a Sumatra pullet but she's only 8 weeks and not showing any other colors beside blacks. Wish she was friendly, probably the most skittish of all my chicks her age. Sorry, can't have roosters.

Been busy hatching! My original 12 is down to 6 as I had to sell 2 roosters, 3 pullets and the dog got one pullet. Total of 14 outdoors and 14 indoors, 20 eggs on day 21 though only 1 pip and starting a whole new batch with all silkie eggs.

    Serama Hatching Adventure

So cute! 7 out of 12 is pretty good. I only have 3 in lockdown now out of 10 serama eggs. But my last 3 that went into lockdown are all doing pretty good and I'm happy to also have a yellow, a black and a frizzle yellow/black.

    Minnesota!

I currently have Mille Fleur, just hatched a few Serama and Silkies. A lot of different breeds for regular size fowl, I'm one of those who want to see variety in her backyard. I'm going on vacation Sept 19th so will probably not need any until I get back. Ok if I message you then?

    Glass Brooder Castle

My first brooder was a loveseat box with holes cut in but eventually the bottom got too dirty and the openings didn't close right! I guess when my husband saw this was more than just a "phase" he decided to build one to last. I like the visibility and there's plenty of ventilation. Now just have...

    Glass Brooder Castle

The glass is plexi-glass. I got pretty much everything from facebook marketplace so everything cost less than $80. The box is 30 inches x 84 inches x 24 inches. I can reach in from the front, ends and top if I wanted to. I've found the chicks move a lot more in this brooder than my last one of...

    Glass Brooder Castle

My dear husband built me this glass front brooder for my baby chicks. I love it and so do the chicks. There's going to be 3 separations but right now I just have 2. The larger side has 2 week olds to 4 week olds and the small baby side has a 2 day old and my little 1 week bantam so they're...

Not quite spraddle leg but chick can't stand

This chick is about 36 hours old and from the beginning has never stood up straight. I don't think it is exactly straddle leg as the legs don't splay out to the sides he just won't stand. He pipped on day 22 and was shrink wrapped so had to be helped out, never had a slippery surface to walk on...
