Ugg! Today I found an egg under the raised coop! My girls would never lay on the ground, they're so spoiled. Think someone interrupted one of these nasty boogers. My daughter's dog is laying down on the job & now they have a taste for eggs! I hate it, but it might be time to cut the nephews...
You know looking back at the pics you can't even see his splatter of red feathers on his back in the first one...wonder if the white popped out from old leghorn breeding.
No sorries needed ! Plenty of space! Couple of boys have started a bachelor group too. I adore his 'egg' momma. I been calling him a boy for some time now, just wanted a backup opinion.

Yeah, all my others from that brood are smaller peachy combed still tho one is getting rosy. I'll have to stalk some more in a bit, for better pics, tho they'll be in the tree soon. Cold here for a change, they've been going to roost early.

Have you figured out who is laying which color? Godzilla looks like an EE. I'm wondering if hers didn't develop a tint. Inquiring minds want to know!

My two have a system worked out also. Specs gets no time with Teriyaki's favorite hens. But I've seen them stand together in the face of an enemy (a snake). One roo belongs to my oldest son and one to my youngest, (23 & 19, still both in MY nest) so I really couldn't bring myself to part with...
