    Great reply, I think a "buffet for the eyes" essential for a good book! (you can tell I like cookbooks, of course...) and amazing that you mention apple cider vinegar in their water, that tip found online has helped my chickens perk up considerably, I pop a little thyme and oregano essential oil...

    Yes, I free range - they have a nice enclosed big grassy yard, some trees to shade under. My Dads place has vast land and many predators, so I wonder about a mobile coop with a large enclosed area, and letting them range during the day with fingers crossed! Thanks a lot for the book reference :)
