I'm asking only $200, I paid $360 from Priemer supply! I don't use it so I figured someone else could put it to good use! I can ship, but I'll have to figure out on how to do that, and how much it will cost. Just to point out, I trimmed out a tiny section on the tray channels to prevent the...
Hello everyone,
I have a Borotto Lumia 16 egg incubator with the humidity pump, I have used it 3 times with excellent hatch rates, and I haven't used in some time. It's in excellent condition in the original box and packaging. I have it on Facebook Marketplace as of right now. I would like to...
Hi, I ordered a dozen eggs from them. Much to my surprise, Justin shipped them out on a Friday! On Monday the eggs were to be delivered so I waited for the mail. Later that afternoon I heard the mail carrier's truck, looking out the front window I could see the carrier back up into my drive...
Hi,
I'm searching for a old wooden kerosene operated incubator that is or near operational condition. I would like to study its construction to make a replica of one in my shop.
If someone may have one I would be interested in purchasing.
Thanks!
Sorry for your loss, my guess would be a racoon. I had a flock of beautiful SQ RIR's that always greeted me. One day I found all dead in one night decapitated and there entrails eaten. Racoons will revisit in 3 day cycles! I took one of my dead birds and baited a live trap, the next day in the...
What's Up? The small end!
If the large end of the eggs have been lower that the small end especially around the 14th day of incubation, they will become oriented to the wrong side! Once they get too big they cannot turn around. I was told at one point that they woundn't hatch, but mine always did!
Hello all, I would like to know your personal experiance with standard Brahma's. There temperments and behavior, especially the Roo's. I have 6 - 2 week old chicks, which I hatched but I'm still thinking about my decision in picking them. It was a toss up between these and cochins! I would be...
Hello Alleyoops, It looks to me your temp was too high! You can never trust a thermometer to be accurate, check with another. They original thermometers with those incubator are not that accurate. The temp should be set at 102°F at the top third of the eggs I hope this info will help on your...
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, I set 8 eggs, all were fertile! Humidity was way off most of the inc. period, temp was 1° lower than actual, ran dry till pipping occured and managed to hatch 6 out of the 8!
Hello, I bought a R-COM 20 incubator and had hatched my first batch last week. I have had many many different incubators including a Octagon 20, and I can say I really like the R-COM. The only thing I would be careful of with my experience with this unit is to make sure it is calibrated. What I...
