One of my muscovy females is broody at the moment and has been attacking the other female on the neck. I know its mating behavior but both are females...and the one she is going after runs and runs to get away making so noise. I went over tonight and she hid between my legs with her head buried...
I put her in warm water and an egg came out right away...then she immediately jumped out of the tub . Roamed around the yard just fine but then disappeared to her box and snuggled down in to the straw...head in her wings. Squeaky and lots of feathers...so maybe broody? even though I take her...
well heck! This makes sense!! Yes! Tons of feathers! And squeaky too! I did put her in warm water and an egg came out immeditly...so maybe it would have anyway? So I just leave her alone?

We had buffs for a while....they were gorgeous but so so so loud. If you are near neighbors...consider muscovy ducks. We have 3 and they are amazing. They literally act like our dogs... they follow you, listen, very funny to watch! Plus....so very quiet. I do have to clip their wings...
