I'm looking into re-homing my sweet scissor beak Olive Egger. I'm new to chickens and hoping to find someone with more experience to take good care of her. She is very sweet, friendly and good with others. It took her a while to gain weight and she is still small, being fed a wet mash of crumble...
I’m so sad. I really wanted a lavender but I have two other Orpingtons (buff and chocolate) which have very small yellow combs. So anyone think it could be a hen?
This one has got me confused. I originally thought it was a hen but then I heard it making some strange sounds. As a first time chicken owner I’m not sure if she was attempting to crow. Anything idea if she’s a he?
Hi, i know this post was a few years ago but i happen to have a salmon faverolle that is about 6-7 weeks old now and looking a lot like yours did. They have a black chest but not much of a comb. I was hoping you could tell me if yours turned out to be a roo or a pullet with strange coloring...
I recently got a OE maybe a week ago. Didn’t notice any issue with her beak until this morning. It is slightly turned outward, she is eating, drinking and playing around normally. Is there anything I can do to fix it or prevent it from getting worse?
I got my first handful of baby chicks, including this salmon faverolle a little over a month ago, is she a roo? I read that black feathers are an indicator for a rooster, but i would appreciate input from someone who knows chickens more. Thank you!
