I bought MM dels last year and day old chicks were biting me.
I was glad they were meant for the freezer.
However a friend convinced me to hang onto some and I'm glad I did.
The roo is now a sweetheart and I'm glad...he's huge!
The hens are still a bit pecky but it may be curiousity and staying...
If her poofy feathered head starts to lay down and not stay in the ball shape it is now then she is then a he lol
One of my hens had tiny wattles and the other had larger ones.
They are a lot of fun...I lost my Phylis (roo is Diller) to a puppy just lately and I'll always miss her.
Hi Barry, I've heard of people using the hand warmer packs. Think they're good for 10 hours...read the package?
They also have to be placed away from the eggs. Good luck!
Hi, glad to find some knowledgable people maybe I can have your advice?
These two birds are confusing me a lot...they came with an order of gold laced polish...but really don't look like them other than the colour.
I happened upon a pic of a brabanter and recognised the female! she looks more...

Hope you don't mind me asking but how do you wrap turkeys for the freezer?
M.Prissy what brine and how much? I assume this is covered in the fridge?
I hope to slow our BBB at 20 - 25lbs.

We had these little guys on the table every time we sat at it..they are hilarious..they still are!
Yep these are table turkeys.
I do hope to keep a trio as soon as I figure out m/f thing.
A friend has had some success in breeding them! I'll take them off grower as soon as...
